Recently, more and more leader companies all over the world use the Drupal technologies for sites development and their managing; our Company is not the exception.
Having mastered the technologies, we implement them in various projects, and it provides the opportunity not just to speed up the developing process, but also to develop these projects in future.
It is known, that Drupal is maintained and developed by an international community of developers, like the open-source software. The international site of the project is drupal.org. Besides, the Drupal Community, that counts thousands of users and developers ready to share their experience and to find the solution for not easy questions, actively develops.
Obviously, Drupal can be used for creation of various types of sites: news sites and forums, blogs, corporate, intranet, personal sites, fans sites, stores, manuals, and social networks etc. with further opportunity of their structuring and archiving for easy access and their editing in future.
All these opportunities are provided with the irreproachable on the first side systems CMF (Content Management Framework), CMS (Content Management System) – which are a kind of database of programming tools, which provides a complex approach for the site creation. But, as it is known, every thing has its advantages and disadvantages. |

The medicine e-shop |
At the time we are working at the developing of useful in our opinion, project – future internet medicine store where you can find skin-care products, dietary supplements and accessory food substances, vitamins, etc. for creation of which our programmers use the PHP Drupal technologies.
Basically, for a few hours they managed to realize the procedure of product ordering and payment, using the modules packet from http://www.ubercart.org; taxonomy module allowed easily create the products’ classifier and manage the search. But, it could not be without difficulties.
- free software, often, result in module authors’ poor responsibility – that is why much time was spent for bug fixing;
- in the 5.x drupal version the site design binding is inconveniently realized, designer has to work together with the php programmer, that increases man-hours.
As there are no universal CMS, then the choice must depend on the task set.
